Medical chronology services by legal nurse consultants
A medical chronology turns hundreds or thousands of pages of records into a dated, sourced account of what happened to the patient. Written by a nurse who knows how charts are kept, it surfaces gaps, late entries and missing records that a non-clinical reader can miss.
What you get
- Date- and time-ordered events: assessments, vital signs, medications, orders, procedures, communications and transfers
- A source citation (record and page or Bates number) for every entry
- Key events marked, so the turning points are easy to find
- Missing, illegible or out-of-sequence records listed for follow-up requests
- Delivered as a formatted PDF or Word report, plus a CSV of the data
When firms use it
- Early case evaluation, before deciding to take a case
- Preparing for depositions of nurses and physicians
- Briefing a testifying expert quickly
- Mediation and settlement summaries
How it works
- 1. Post a redacted brief. Case type, specialties, page count, deadline and budget. We check it for names and identifiers before it goes live.
- 2. Compare proposals. Consultants in matching specialties see it first and propose a flat fee or hourly rate. Each attests to having no conflict with the parties you list.
- 3. Hire and share records. Pay through the platform; we hold payment until you accept the work. Records go into an encrypted workspace only your team and your consultant can open.
Questions
How is a medical chronology different from a record summary?+
A summary condenses the records by topic; a chronology lists events in time order with a source for each one. Many cases use both: the chronology for the facts, a summary for the narrative.
Who writes the chronology?+
A registered nurse whose license we verify, chosen by you from the proposals you receive. You see their clinical specialty, years of experience and ratings from other firms before hiring.
How are the records shared?+
In a private case workspace, after you hire. Files are encrypted at rest, only your team and the consultant you hire can open them, and every view and download is logged.
Post a redacted brief, compare proposals
Describe the case without names. License-verified nurses in the right specialty send proposals with their experience and rate. Records are shared only after you hire, in an encrypted workspace.
